Selecting the Details: Interior Finish Review

July 20, 2026

Odessa, Texas – As construction continues on the new Ector County Courthouse Complex, project teams are moving forward with important design decisions that will help create a functional and welcoming space for employees, visitors, and the community.

Last week, representatives involved with the project gathered for a carpet selection session, reviewing a variety of options for the interior spaces of the new courthouse. While these selections may seem like small details, each design choice plays an important role in creating an environment that supports the daily operations of the County and the people it serves.

The carpet selection process is one part of the larger effort to finalize interior finishes and design elements throughout the facility. Project teams continue to evaluate materials and features with careful consideration for durability, maintenance, accessibility, and the long-term needs of the courthouse.

From major construction milestones to interior design details, each step brings the vision for the new Ector County Courthouse Complex closer to completion. The project team will continue sharing updates with residents as work progresses.

The new Ector County Courthouse Complex is being designed with a focus on safety, efficiency, future growth, and creating a civic space that serves the community for generations to come.
