Project Timeline

The development of the new Ector County Courthouse is planned in carefully coordinated phases designed to maintain continuity while building for the future. Initial demolition began in late 2025, clearing select properties to prepare the site, with additional phases continuing through 2029, including the eventual removal of the existing courthouse. Construction progresses alongside these efforts, with the parking garage beginning in 2026, followed by the new courthouse in 2027, and the civic plaza taking shape by 2029. This phased approach allows key services to remain operational while gradually transforming the site into a modern civic destination, ultimately delivering a cohesive campus that serves the community for generations to come.
